Detectives have started an investigation into an attempted burglary on the Isle of Wight.
Police were called to the High Street in Sandown at 11.58pm on Monday, August 12, 2013.
A search of the area was carried out for suspects and evidence.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Katy Lee from Isle of Wight CID said:
“Initial enquiries have found that burglars tried to access a flat in Sandown High Street. They did not manage to get inside or steal any property.
“We believe this may be linked to a similar incident when someone smashed a window to a property in Regent Street, Shanklin just after 3am this morning (Tuesday, August 13 ,2013). One person was seen nearby wearing a blue hooded top.”
