Police are appealing for information to find a vulnerable man reported missing on the Isle of Wight.
James Irwin Barnikel, aged 28, of Argyll Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight, was last seen at Newport Bus Station on the afternoon of Sunday, October 9, 2011 when he was due to catch a bus to Ryde.
Concerns were raised when Mr Barnikel did not arrive as expected in Ryde last night (Sunday).
Officers are pursuing several lines of enquiry, including checks with public transport operators, and searches of areas on the island where Mr Barnikel has been known to travel.
Description
Mr Barnikel is described as:
> White
> 5 ft 5 ins to 5 ft 6 ins tall
> Stocky build
> Receding dark brown hair
> Dark brown beard
Mr Barnikel has cerebral palsy, which means his right arm is in a vertical position from the elbow upwards, and his right fist is clenched.
