Thanks to VB reader, Linda Bassett who got in touch earlier today, alerting us to the presence of armed police in East Cowes.
Naturally, we got in touch with Police who have now have confirmed that a 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of making threats to life in the Kent Avenue area of East Cowes, shortly after 1pm today (Wednesday).
They say that some of the officers called to the address were armed. The man was taken into custody for questioning.
