Islander Rob Carr is a man who loves music. He’s been heavily involved with Postfest (a micro festival that’s held after the Isle of Wight Festival) as well as being in bands, The Cardinal Richelieu and The Scores.
He got in touch today about a new project which he believes is one that some VB readers should be interested in.
Rob is organising a competition challenging 50 bands to play 10 minutes original sets in 50 venues in the space of just six hours.
Music champion wins £1,000 cashThe event takes place on Saturday 21st June July between noon-6pm and culminates in an award-giving ceremony in the evening.
Rob tells us that the band who manages to play the most venues will win £1,000 in cash.
He’s hoping that it will raise awareness for original Island talent, as well as raising money for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
