Bestival Bestival all over your radio. Yes, that’s right, the nation’s favourite station, BBC Radio 1 have confirmed that they love Bestival just as much as we do, by announcing that for the third year running they will be our official radio partner for the summer’s last hoorah.
The station’s mighty Zane Lowe will be laying down the law on the main stage before Saturday’s legendary headliners the Beastie Boys. As well as festival sets from BBC Radio 1’s first ladies Annie Nightingale, Annie Mac, and of course Bestival’s own Rob da Bank, BBC Radio 1 have a number of special slots and shows scheduled over the weekend – more to come on that. And the line up of the year just keeps growing – legendary Dexys Midnight Runners front man Kevin Rowland has been added to the DJ bill and we can’t wait to hear what he spins for us!

We’re also over the moon to announce The Go! Team will be returning to the Main Stage as 2nd headliners to The Chemical Brothers on Friday night. 2005 saw The Go! Team tear up the Main Stage with their all-singing, all-dancing live extravaganza – this year they’ll be giving everyone a sneak preview of tracks from their amazing new album which hits the shelves the following Monday.
