Whoah whoah whoah, I knew they could do it and they’ve proved me right. Five cheeky Chancers from The Isle of Wight have won the nationwide competition to play on the opening night of the Bestival.
There were thousands of entries from all over the UK, but our home grown lovelies managed to pull it off and impress not only the initial judges, but the great unwashed – Joe and Josephine Public.
I’m looking forward to watching their 30 minute set when they perform on Friday afternoon in The Blue Pavilion: inspired-byRizla tent NEXT WEEK!
So who are the five piece you ask? The band is made up of Rick Stanbridge, Jack Henson, Chris Phillips, Chris Horne and Murray Klak and they’ve only been going for six months – but you’d never guess.
We’ve seen them place twice and think they’re brill!
