Hampshire Police have been touch to let us know about a magazine sponsorship scam.
The equine community are being warned about the scam after an equine physiotherapist received a call asking for sponsorship for a magazine reporting horse thefts. The caller, a man, claimed to be from Hampshire Constabulary.
The Hampshire Constabulary confirm that they are no way involved in the project and if you receive a call such as the above, you should get in touch with the police immediately and not hand over any money or bank details.
