Sandown Carnival Association is inviting expressions of interest in the Gypsy Caravan created for this year’s float for the Sandown Carnival Queens.
They say,
“The fantastic caravan has been used across the Island throughout the summer to celebrate Sandown and to remember a special lady.
“As it is such an impressive structure we don’t really want to break it up at the end of the year so we would like to offer it (with some accessories removed) to the highest bidder.
“All proceeds would go to a chosen Island charity.”
The caravan would be delivered to the winning bidder’s address in early 2017. The new owner would be responsible for getting it off the float and to its new home.
If you are interested, you can see the caravan at Newport Christmas Carnival on 3rd December or Ventnor Christmas Carnival on 10th December.
They will select the highest genuine bid received by the end of 2016.
