Big Font. Large Spacing: Wight Screening This Weekend

This weekend sees a double screening of Big Font. Large Spacing on the Isle of Wight.

The feature length film, shot in Cardiff over three weeks, by Islander Paul Allen explores the student way of life.

Two slacker psychology students aim to complete a 5000-word essay in 12 hours to avoid failing their degrees in this independent comedy.

The film has already been screened at Oxford and Newport (that’s the one in Wales, natch) Unis, as well as the Atlanta Film Festival in the US.

2D Cinema on tour
2D Cinema will be bringing Paul’s film back to his home village of Bembridge on Friday night as part of an innovative distribution tour branded ‘2D Cinema’.

“2D cinema is about challenging conventional distribution models which give small independent film makers a pretty raw deal. Building our own cinema gives us the opportunity to show our film wherever we like which is why it’s so exciting to be coming home to Bembridge”.

If you’re at the PozFest you also have a chance to see the film on Saturday afternoon.

Check the listings on Events on the Wight for the Bembridge screening on Friday and PozFest on Saturday
