There are two really interesting workshops being held at Quay Arts later this month, which if you don’t sign up for in the next couple of days, you might miss out on.
Isle of Wight singer/songwriter Paul Armfield has a couple of spaces left on his Line By Line – Songwriting Workshop and writer and actor, Joe Bone, has space for more on his Play with Story – Physical Performance Workshop.
The cost of taking part in either of workshops is just £5! Both take place on Friday 27 November between 10am and 4pm with the live event taking place on Saturday 28th November between 2.30-3.30pm.
Line By Line – Songwriting Workshop
Using the drawings in the exhibition as inspiration, we will work through the creative process as a group, collectively penning a song to be performed as part of The Drawing Process Live Event on 28th Nov in The West Gallery. If you do play an instrument then feel free to bring it along, although no previous musical experience is necessary, just a pencil and notepad will be fine.
Workshops are only £5 each and for people aged 18 – 30 years old living on the Isle of Wight. Book early to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited.
‘Play with Story’ – Physical performance with Joe Bone
With writer and creator of multi-award winning show BANE, Joe Bone, you will investigate work in the gallery and explore how to use the body to tell a story and perform finished works for The Drawing Process Live Event on 28th Nov. Techniques are broken down and the practises of LeCoq’s Theatre du Geste are explored in this fun and playful workshop.Workshops are only £5 each and for people aged 18 – 30 years old living on the Isle of Wight. Book early to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited.
