Our thanks to OnTheWight reader Ian Langford for sending in this shot of the humongous super-liner, Britannia, which sailed past the Isle of Wight this morning whilst heading to Southampton.
Described as “Inspired by our past. Designed for the future”, you’d hope so with a price tag of £473 million.
The super-liner, which features a 94 metre Union flag on her bow, will be christened by Her Majesty the Queen on Tuesday next week. You can watch the event being live streamed on the P&O Website.
