Dates have now been released for the forthcoming Ventnor Theatre Group show, Buddy.
And the good news is that you don’t have long to wait, for it takes place at the beginning of May on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th May 2008 (note: no performance on Sunday 4th May).
Buddy tells the story of the three years in which Buddy Holly became a music legend up to his tragic death aged just 22, in a plane crash.
He had already had an immense impact on the music industry. Featuring a host of hit greatest hits – including Peggy Sue, That’ll Be The Day, Oh Boy, Rave On, Heartbeat and Raining In My Heart.
It’s a tale that starts with his first recording contract, moves through his relocation to New York and ends with the rock ‘n’ roll extravaganza that is the Winter Dance Party!
Performed by Ventnor Theatre Group at the The Ventnor Winter Gardens, Pier Street, Ventnor at 7.30pm (Matinee only on Bank Holiday Monday 5th at 2.30pm)
