Wightlink Raiders LogoThe Wightlink Raiders are on the brink of winning their first league title in 14 years and need just one point this weekend to be crowned English National League champions.

It’s a remarkable achievement for Canadian coach Jeremy Cornish and his team who last year finished in 6th place.

Taking on the Cardiff Devils
Their opponents tomorrow night are the Cardiff ENL Devils who themselves finished league runners up last year and who on paper have one of the strongest squads in the league.

The Raiders have only been beaten once at home this season and have beaten the Devils in their three games so far, but the team are well aware of how dangerous Cardiff can be.

A huge crowd is expected and tickets can be bought in advance from Ryde Arena. Doors open at 5pm and face off is at 6pm.

The Raiders will be at full strength apart from the absence of defence-man Dan Scott who has an ankle injury.
