This week see the return of Ventnor’s carnivals which take place this Wednesday (17th).
As you’d expect there’ll be local diversions in place and Southern Vectis have been in touch with details of bus diversions.
Ventnor children’s carnival will take place between 2pm and 2.45pm and there will be stewards in place advising of diversions.
Ventnor main carnival will form up in Albert Street at 5.15pm and depart from there at 6.45pm.
Route 3 diversions
Between 5.15pm and 7pm all Route 3 vehicles from Newport towards Ryde will proceed down Spring Hill and wait time at Central Car Park. Albert Street will not be served.
All Route 3 vehicles operating between 5.15pm and 6.45pm toward Newport from Ryde will divert at the bottom of Leeson Road along St. Boniface Road, down Spring Hill and wait time at Central Car Park then from there proceed to Trinity Church to St. Boniface Road to resume line of route at the bottom of Mitchell Avenue.
All Route 3 vehicles after 6.45pm from Newport to Ryde will divert from the bottom of Mitchell Avenue along St. Boniface Road to Trinity Church.
All Route 3 vehicles after 6.45pm from Ryde toward Newport will proceed to Trinity Church and turn, to depart from Trinity Road to St. Boniface Road to rejoin line of route at Mitchell Avenue.
The formal procession gets going just before 7pm, so do come down and support the Carnival. There’ll be lots to do after as well as part of the Ventnor Fringe Festival.
