The last meeting of the season for Cafe Scientifique will take place next Monday (11th June).
David Livingstone who comes to our Cafe will be speaking about the history and development of drugs under the title, “Where do Drugs come from?”
His talk will cover the early history of drugs which came from natural products, the development of synthetic drugs through the pharmaceutical industry, the application of computational chemistry to “drug design” and future developments such as personalised medicine based on genomics.
The event takes place at Shanklin Conservative Club on Monday 11th June at 7pm. Entry £3 on the door.
Please note, we will start the new season on Monday 24th September.
