The popular, moving and funny play Calendar Girls by Tim Firth is coming to Trinity Theatre in Cowes next year.
The run starts with a gala fund-raising performance in aid of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research on Saturday 1st September and continues with performances during the following weeks.
As many of you may know, it recounts the true story of a group of ladies from a village W.I. in Yorkshire who come up with a novel idea to raise money for a local hospital.
The story was made into a successful film and subsequently has toured as an equally popular professional stage play.
Trinity Theatre president John Plumbly said “We are very excited about putting on this play that will appeal to many people and at the same time raising money for such a worthwhile cause.”
