One of our regular forum members and friend of the blog, Lulu has recently returned from a trip to Kenya where she visited one of the children’s homes.
It’s very sad to hear that the youngsters there, aged between 2 and 15 years old have very little to their names. No shoes, few socks, clothes or toys.
She goes on to explain that despite this, this orphaned children are happy when they received just one pen or crayon.
Lulu is hoping that some of you out there will understand the simple needs of these kids and contribute to clothes and toy parcels that she’s hoping to send out there in a couple of weeks.
If you have any light summer clothes that your children have grown out of, whatever it may be, please consider donating it.
Lulu has kindly offered to wash and mend any clothes that are donated. Details to follow shortly as to where you need to drop the clothes off, but in the meantime, please have a hunt through drawers and wardrobes – your unwanted clothes will make the world of difference to these grateful kids.
