It is a sad fact of life that carers of adults with a learning disability will at times be faced with their loved ones having to go into hospital.
As we know this can be very traumatic for all concerned.
For this reason we welcome Lesley Mew as guest speaker at our next Forum on 5 April at the Riverside Centre (2-3pm).
Lesley is the Clinical Services Leader with responsibility for people with a learning disability at the Arthur Webster Clinic.
Her team has prepared a protocol for use by G.P.s and hospitals in dealing with LD patients.
Lesley is looking to hear our experiences in dealing with the NHS Trust and we encourage you to attend this very important session.
