“For once, we could put her in the spotlight and celebrate the incredible difference she makes for disabled people on the Isle of Wight.”
More than just companions
Through the One Show coverage, audiences will gain a deeper understanding of how an Ability Dog profoundly enhances a recipient’s quality of life. These remarkable dogs are more than companions—they provide essential practical assistance, increase independence, and offer emotional stability, enabling recipients to access greater opportunities and thrive in ways they never thought possible.
Education, employment and social interactions all become possible with an Ability Dog by their side.
Supporting a range of people
The Charity supports people with a range of disabilities, including autism, anxiety, depression, diabetes, epilepsy, and cerebral palsy. Each recipient benefits in a unique way, with every dog trained to meet their individual needs, offering something truly life-changing.
From alerting them of an oncoming medical episode to providing the emotional reassurance needed to face daily challenges, the partnership between a recipient and their Ability Dog is nothing short of extraordinary.
