Emily tells us more about a recent appeal from the Cats Protection in Ryde. Ed
The Cats Protection in Ryde have reported that they are having a bit of a CATastrophe with the amount of cats and kittens in their shelter.
The waiting list is currently full and they’re desperately needing to re-home some of the felines, so the huge waiting list can be minimised and more cats sent to loving homes.
39 kittens and 37 cats needing loving homes
Jo from the Cats Protection said: “We are receiving calls daily asking us to help by taking in litters of kittens, cats and nursing mums. And we have to unfortunately turn some people away until we have the space”
“We need to raise awareness about getting your cat neutered. As the cat population is rising.”
The staff are urgently appealing to find new homes for the cats and asking cat owners to get their cat spayed or neutered.
They currently have 39 kittens and 37 cats so do pop along if you’re interested and don’t forget today where you heard about it.
