Southern Vectis is extending its ticketing options for younger passengers by introducing child and young adult bundles for 5, 15 and 30 days on its popular smartcard – the key.
Southern Vectis general manager, Matt Kitchin, said,
“We’re delighted by the response we’ve had since introducing the key for under 18s last year.
“So now we’re extending the choice, with multi-day bundles.
“It provides customers with the opportunity to save money by buying multiple tickets. Each is valid for one calendar day – and they don’t have to be used consecutively, so they offer great flexibility.”
Multi-day bundles
With immediate effect, passengers who have the key can top-up with the following multi-day bundles:
Children aged 5-16 inclusive
5 day – £16.50
15 day – £42.00
30 day – £60
Young adults 17-18
5 day – £20.00
15 day – £49.00
30 day – £72.00
He continued,
“The key doubles-up as a form of ID for students travelling by bus. It also makes paying for bus travel safe and secure.
“Anyone wishing to register for one can do so online by entering their name, date of birth, address, email address and uploading a passport photo.
“Three working days later, they should visit the Southern Vectis travel shop in Newport with ID – such as a passport or birth certificate – to verify their age. Our team will then issue them with their discount ID card.
“Once registered for the key, passengers can top-up online at any time – and tickets will be available to use in just three hours.”
