Mick may have been born first, but younger brother Chris Jagger brings his hotly anticipated trio to Quay Arts for an evening of Country, Bluegrass and Blues supported by the brilliant Ric Harris Trio.
Chris Jagger’s Acoustic Roots features Chris’ original self-penned songs on guitar, accompanied by Elliet Mackrell’s dancing fiddle and Dave Hatfield’s solid double bass.
In the 1970s Chris made two records for Billy Gaff and David Geffen and these albums have now achieved cult status.
In the 1980s Chris worked as a lyricist with Frank Langolf and contributed to two Stones albums (Dirty Work and Steel Wheels).
Now having performed across the country and popular for Chris’ original songwriting, they have been recognised as playing soulful and tuneful music, including a smattering of Country, Hillbilly and Irish thrown in, which never fails to get people on their feet dancing.
Support from Ric Harris Trio
To support the show, London born Blues guitarist Ric Harris brings his band to the stage: Ken Black on drums/percussion, Al James on double bass and Ric on guitars.
They specialise in setting the Blues to Latin and Reggae rhythms whilst giving the Blues an ambient setting for improvisation.
