This year’s celebrations are being organised by St Catherine’s Church, Ventnor Enhancement Fund and Ventnor Town Council and feature live music, a lantern parade, and carols in Ventnor Park – all taking place on Saturday 11th December.
There are indoor craft markets at St. Catherine’s and Ventnor Baptist Churches.
Free Lantern Making Workshops
There are free Lantern Making Workshops from 10.30am to 1pm on Saturday 27th November at Ventnor Baptist Church and on Saturday 4th December at St Margaret’s Hall in Lowtherville.

Live music and more
On Saturday 11th December there will be live music in Spring Hill Gardens featuring some of Ventnor’s favourite buskers – organised by Greg Barnes and Cllr Steph Toogood.
Ventnor Carnival Association are organising a Best Dressed Window Competition and a ‘Window Spot’ – as well as the lantern parade. There will be awards for the ‘Best Lantern’, and best fancy dress in a range of categories.
Lantern Parade
The Parade will assemble on the Green in Dudley Road from 4.30pm and make its way to Ventnor Park from 5pm – including Santa on his sleigh, the Vectis Corps of Drums, vintage cars, and the pirate ship from the Spyglass Inn.
Carols in the Park
The Carols in the Park starting at 5.30pm will feature many of our festive favourites led by the Undercliff Singers and The Exchange Community Choir, mulled wine and mince pies provided by Ventnor Enhancement Fund and hot-dogs and burgers provided by the Stripped burger van.
Santa will of course be making a prominent appearance during the event.
