Over the weekend an ominous hole appeared in the road at the junction of Landguard Road, FalconCross Road and Collingwood Road in Shanklin.
The roads have now been closed and this is going to affect bus routes until the road is repaired.
Bus diversions
Southern Vectis have issued the following update in relation to the following bus services:
School buses: 105, 312, 313, 331 AND 407.
Regular buses: 2 and 3 (will not serve Shanklin Co-op, please use Shanklin station stop)
Route diversions
Route 105 AM to operate diversion from Landguard Road via left into Carter Road, left into Regent Street, right into Atherley Road, right into North Road to rejoin normal route ahead at High Street.
Route 105 PM to operate diversion from Clarendon Road via right into Regent Street / left into Carter Road to rejoin normal route turning right into Landguard Road.
Route 312 AM to operate direct from High Street via North Road / Arthurs Hill to rejoin normal route ahead at A3055 Sandown Road.
Route 312 PM to operate from Wilton Park Road via left into Atherley Road, right into North Road to rejoin normal route ahead at High Street.
Route 313 AM to operate diversion from Clarendon Road via right into Regent Street / left into Carter Road to rejoin normal route turning right into Landguard Road.
Route 313 PM to operate diversion from Landguard Road via left into Carter Road, left into Regent Street, right into Atherley Road, right into North Road to rejoin normal route ahead at High Street.
Routes 331 and 407 AM to operate diversion from Landguard Road via left into Carter Road, left into Regent Street, right into Atherley Road, right into North Road to rejoin normal route ahead at High Street.
Routes 331 and 407 PM to operate diversion from Clarendon Road via right into Regent Street / left into Carter Road to rejoin normal route turning right into Landguard Road.
