On Friday night residents on the Isle of Wight witnessed a sight rarely seen.
The night sky was filled with colour as the aurora borealis put on a spectacular show.
Typically, it was the one night I decided to got to bed early. However, I woke up to find social media awash with stunningly beautiful photographs.
