Suella Braverman, the former Home Secretary, was hosted on the Isle of Wight by Joe Robertson, the Conservative Party’s prospective parliamentary candidate for Isle of Wight East, on Friday.
Joe Robertson issued a press release which revealed that Mrs Braverman spoke with passers-by on Union Street and met local business people in Victoria Arcade.
The Conservative MP has been Attorney General, and held the position of Home Secretary (twice). She gained media attention for comments she made in November 2023 about homeless people – stating that many of them see it as “a lifestyle choice”.
Toby Brading from Yelf’s Hotel hosted the space for a group of business people to meet the MP, adding that he planned to host more meetings like this in the future.
