Residents who have previously commented on the planning application for the onshore elements of the Perpetuus Tidal Energy Centre at Flowersbrook received a letter from the Isle of Wight council last week.
They were informed that due to additional information being submitted, the consultation deadline had been extended once again, this time until 10th April.
The letter, from head of planning Bill Murphy, letter reads,
Ref: P/01485/14 – TCP/25098/C
The Isle of Wight Council has received additional information from the applicants for the above site. The applicants have submitted additional information in respect of the layout and design of the proposed substation/ control room. This does not supersede existing plans but instead provides a further option for the substation.
You can inspect all application documents as well as the additional information in two ways. On the Council’s website (www.iwight.com/planningapps) available from 20th March 2015, or in person at Seaclose Offices Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Wednesday 10am to 5pm and on Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. The additional information will be dated March 2015.
Please note that this is not a new planning application, but a current application that has been the subject of additional information. All previous comments will remain valid and will be taken into account and therefore, previous comments do not need to be repeated.
If you have any additional comments to make on the scheme, I encourage you to complete the form on the website or alternatively write to me by 10th April 2015 quoting the full application reference number, shown above. If your comments are not received by this date a decision may have already been taken.
The new documents won’t be on the council’s Website until this coming Friday (20th March).
