Tip of the hat to the Isle of Wight council this week for picking up a prestigious award.
Their One Link online service, which provides essential info for people with long-term health and social care needs has been awarded the Independent Living award at the National eWell-Being Awards 2010.
We’ve not had the need to used the service so were unaware of its existence, but clearly it’s a leader in the field, hence the award.
Originally set up as a pilot, the Web based tool provides relevant, timely and up to date information tailored to each persons needs.
The site has had nearly 12,000 page views since its launch ten months ago.
Pictured above receiving the award are David Hogan and Matthew Pattinson of the council’s software development team and Peter Smith, development officer in the community services department.
Well done to you all.
Check out the One Link for yourselves.
