The live music season is hotting up on the Isle of Wight and with less than a month to go until the debut ‘Jazz in the Meadow‘ event at the Ventnor Botanic Gardens, if you haven’t bought your tickets yet, you’d better get a move on.
The day long event, hosted by Quay Arts’ director Mick Smith, features a totally amazing lineup of jazz artistes.
With the legendary, award-winning Courtney Pine headlining the event, the day promises to be jam-packed with top quality musicians and singers.
It all starts at 2pm with young saxophone prodigy Benedict Branca warming up the stage and audience for American songstress Keri Highland.
The Ric Harris Trio follow with their very own blend of the smooth reggae/blues/jazz.
If you haven’t seen Edana Minghella play live before, now is you chance to catch the sultry and smoky jazz classics from this huge Island talent.
Expect exceptional jazz violin from Cuban maestro Omar Puente before the legendary Courtney Pine takes to the stage.
Event promoter Roni Blunt says, “Bringing an artist of the calibre of Courtney Pine to the Isle of Wight is a dream come true on this first jazz event run by Blunt Events. We are so excited about the whole of Jazz on the Meadow, and the entire line-up just oozes with style and quality. There’s something here for everyone, so make sure you don’t miss out!”
