Following the Island Roads Smallbrook junction update earlier this month, a further change will take place to the dates over which BT Openreach will be undertaking work to divert its services at Smallbrook.
Covid impact on work
Unfortunately, due to Covid issues affecting BT’s work crews, they have been unable to start work at Ashey Road today (Friday) as planned.
We are now looking to reschedule this aspect of the project in the New Year, but we remain confident this rescheduling will not affect the overall duration of the scheme.
Work paused over festive holidays
In light of this change to the programme, we are currently looking at traffic arrangements at this junction over the Christmas and New Year period when work is paused.
Our intention is to have as little traffic management in the location as safety allows.
