According to the Council Website, The Cowes Chain Ferry will be out of service tomorrow between 10am and 1pm.
Foot passengers will be served through a launch service across the water, but drivers will need to travel via Newport if they wish to pass between Cowes and East Cowes.
The reason for the closure is due to “a sea lift being moved from the JS Whites yard adjacent to the West Cowes slipway”.
