The sounds of Christmas will ring out at four Island churches during the festive season thanks to Cowes Concert Band.
The first concert is at All Saints’ Church, Gurnard, on November 29 at 7.45pm and on December 6 the band performs at Binstead Methodist Church at 8pm.
On December 13 they cross the Medina to perform at East Cowes Methodist Church at 8pm and the final concert is at St Mary’s Church, Cowes, on December 20, also at at 8pm, which is supported by Cowes Rotary.
The band’s musical director Andy Norman said: “For decades the unique sound of a traditional brass band such as ours has become synonymous with carols being played outdoors during Christmas. Our four concerts will feature carols but also a host of other Christmas-related music which I’m sure the audiences will enjoy.”
Admission to all the concerts is free, with a retiring collection.
Cowes Concert Band always welcomes new members and rehearses on Mondays at 8pm at St Mary’s parish rooms next to the church.
