Ambitions for greater future successes
Commenting on the achievements this year, Principal, Rebecca Pearce stated that,

“I am so proud of what the students have achieved this year. The future for the school is now looking so promising, and with these improved results which follow a real focus on improving the quality of learning going on in the classrooms, targeted interventions for individual students, quality leadership at all levels and most importantly the high expectations of all staff, students and parents working together, I know we are going to achieve even greater successes for the future.

“As the college moves forward to become an Ormiston Academy from the 1st September our challenge is to ensure that our core values drive improvement in the school. We believe that every learner counts, every lesson counts and everyone is a leader.”

Chair of governors, Rachael Fidler stated that:

“We are so pleased with the progress made by our students and wish them every luck for the future, congratulations to all the staff and thank you to our parents for the support they are giving to their children.”

Professor Toby Salt, CEO of Ormiston Academies Trust added:

“We are really pleased to see students making such progress at CEC, and particularly in a year with so many changes to the exam system. Staff and students at CEC have done a fantastic job.

“It has been a pleasure to work with the college over the past year and we look forward to developing that relationship as an Ormiston academy.”
