Further to our update yesterday with the timeline of the salvage operation, Cowes Harbour Master, Capt. Stuart McIntosh, has been working closely with response teams and divers overnight and this morning to lift the superyacht, Kahu – which was destroyed by fire last week – from the seabed.
Cowes Harbour Commission will be issuing an update later, but in the meantime our thanks to Michael Douse and the other OnTheWight readers who have sent in photos of the salvage operation taking place.
Thanks also to Anthony Joyce who shot the video below and sent through photos. It shows the extent of the damage – and also gives an idea of just how large the motorboat was.
