Discover the Isle of Wight’s ecological wonders with expert Ian Boyd

Just a few days before the start of the very first Isle of Wight Biosphere Festival (see details of all events here), Ian Boyd will be presenting an informative and thought-provoking talk at Monkton Arts in Ryde.

Described as “a polymath by nature and a brain-poppingly knowledgeable ecologist”, Ian has quietly and gently worked to conserve, restore, reimagine and revitalise landscapes, places, buildings, communities, developments, wildlife and people all across the Island.

Next Monday (24th June) you can hear him talk about the Isle of Wight’s UNESCO Biosphere Reserve designation, when he’ll be unravelling the ecological quirks of our Island and its unique characteristics.

Ian is an engaging and inspiring speaker and you’ll gain insights about the principles of ecology in the context of the environmental dynamics that harmonise and sustain our human and non-human communities.

Where and when
Ian Boyd’s talk takes place on Monday 24th June from 7pm (bar open from 6pm).

Tickets are priced at £10 each, available from the till or through the Monkton Arts website.
