This week sees the return of Butterfly Conservation’s campaign to raise awareness of the need to save butterflies.
Across the country there are lots of events taking place to raise awareness for the butterfly and moth population and the importance of preserving it.
Butterfly Conservation are running photographic competitions, offering free resources for amateurs and enthusiasts, as well as calling on the community to help identify and log which butterflies they see in their areas.

Our Flickr Group Pool has at least five pages of photographs of butterflies and moths shot on the Island. Well worth taking a delve into. Thanks to Benjamin for use of his pic above of the wonderful Glanville Fritillary.
