Competitors taking part in tomorrow’s (Tuesday) Cycling Road Race were out on the course familiarising themselves with it today.
The Road Race starts in Rookley, heads over to Chillerton, down through Billingham, Chale Green, Blackgang, Niton, Bierley and up the Newport Road back to Rookley.
79 Cyclists in total
There will be 16 cyclists taking part in the women’s race and 63 in the men’s race that kicks off at lunchtime.
Please avoid driving on those roads if you can, if not, please do take extra care when driving, as you may suddenly take a corner and be faced with a pack of racing cyclists.
Cheer the cyclists on
If you have chance to stand safely by the roads on the route, do cheer on the cyclists, it should be a great race.
