Many thanks to Louise from the Earl Mountbatten Hospice for sending through details of fundraising events taking place over the coming year.
Here’s a few for March you might want to pop into your diaries.
Friday 7th March – Fun Music Quiz at Newport Football Club. 7.30pm £10 for team of four people, raffle and winning prize. Reserve your team by ringing 528989
Saturday and Sunday 8th & 9th March – PC World & Currys 1st Anniversary raising money for EMH all weekend, huge raffles with great prizes.
Saturday 15th March – An evening of sizzling salsa and jive, starring Moe Flex. 7pm till midnight, tickets £12.50 each or 5 for £50 advance only. Tickets are available online, through Gurnard Pines or the Isle of Wight Salsa Club. Fun classes in salsa & Mo Jive with lots of Freestyle Dance.
Sunday 23rd March – Antiques & Collector Fair, Riverside Centre 10am-3.30pm
Saturday 29th March – Seventies Night disco at Ventnor Winter Gardens doors open 7.30pm, fun dance class at 8pm where you can learn to dance a routine from ‘Saturday Night Fever.’ Bar open till late, raffle, fancy dress optional. Tickets £7.50 each, under 16 and over 60 £5 each from box office on 01983 857581.
Cash raised from charity events help go not only towards the care of the patients at the Hospice, but also help fund projects such as the beautiful garden as shown above.
