After nearly a year of diligent effort, CS Cafe has achieved a significant milestone by becoming a registered charity.
This status marks a turning point for the group, celebrated in style with their Thursday games group and some well-deserved bubbly (pictured above).

The push towards charity status was driven by a pressing need to secure the future of the Island’s first-ever food pantry.
With concerns over the potential lack of additional funding in the government’s Spring budget for the household support fund, achieving charitable status was crucial.
It opens up new avenues for funding, ensuring the continuation of their invaluable services to the community.
Serving the community with dedication
CS Cafe has established itself as a cornerstone of the East Cowes community through its diverse range of weekly and four-weekly groups.
They offer a welcoming space for mental wellness every Tuesday, a place to get crafty with Knit and Natter sessions on Wednesdays, and a chance to enjoy some friendly competition at their Thursday games group.
Importantly, these gatherings coincide with the operation of the food pantry, integrating community support with essential services.

In addition to these weekly gatherings, CS Cafe organises special events such as Wingo Bingo on Wednesdays and provides support for those grieving with a bereavement group on Mondays.

Looking ahead, CS Cafe is excited to announce their next fundraiser, an Easter Egg hunt scheduled for Saturday, 30th March, from 11am to 2pm.
