Embrace nature at the Isle of Wight Biosphere Festival with FOCAS Fest 2024

Last updated:

FOCAS Fest – Focus on Conservation and Science Festival – is returning to the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary for a second year after its successful debut in 2023.

This year, the event will be bigger and better, taking place over two days – Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June, and forming part of the Isle of Wight Biosphere Festival which is happening across the Island.

Bringing life to conservation and science
The motivation behind FOCAS Fest is to bring to life conservation and science in a fun and imaginative way by creating an amazing day out for the whole family as they engage with all of the fantastic interactive exhibits.

Over 30 different exhibitors will immerse children in a world of wonder as they explore an incredible range of topics enabling them to connect with nature, and most importantly helping them to understand how they too can make a difference to our natural world.

Massively discounted admission ticket
To ensure that all children have access to FOCAS Fest, the Sanctuary will be offering a massively discounted admission ticket price of just £2.50 per person which will also include full access to whole of the Sanctuary and all its wondrous rescue animals and the daily talks and feeds.

That’s just £10 for a family of four! There will be two sessions available daily, 9.30am until 1pm or 1.30pm to 5pm.

Fisher: This year promises to be even bigger and better
Zeb Fisher, the Sanctuary’s Learning and Discovery Manager said,

“I’m so excited to bring this wonderful festival back to the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary for 2024.

“Last year we saw fantastic levels of engagement from all our visitors with over 20 exhibitors, and this year promises to be even bigger and better.

“I can’t wait to captivate the imagination of all young people with the beauty of our natural world!”
