The Bay CE Primary School and Oakfield CE Primary School (runners up) were recently presented with the propagators at the Honnor and Jeffrey Garden Centre, Sandown.

“Well done to all schools who took part in Wight in Bloom this year, they should all be very proud of their efforts. Red Funnel is delighted to be supporting the gardeners of the future as part of its sponsorship of Wight in Bloom. We’re hoping for even more entries in the Young People Initiative category in 2016.”
Ten schools took part in the Young Peoples Initiative category in 2015 with Bembridge CE Primary School creating the winning entry. Jon Gallop, Manager, Honnor & Jeffrey said
“We are proud to be a part of Wight in Bloom and sponsor the schools category. Encouraging an interest in gardening early is a key to developing the growers of the future. It was good to see so many schools taking part this year and we look forward to some wonderful displays next year.”
Wight in Bloom 2015 received a bumper crop of entries and celebrity gardener and TV presenter, Alan Titchmarsh MBE, VMH (Victoria Medal of Honour RHS) was revealed as Patron. 2016 is Visit England’s ‘Year of the Garden’ and Visit Isle of Wight will announce further plans for Wight in Bloom 2016 in the New Year.
