Newport newsagent Nick Farnsworth is in the running for a prestigious national award.
Mr Farnsworth, who runs Farnsworth’s in St James Street, is one of three finalists in the Independent Magazine Retailer of the Year category in the NFRN Awards in London later this month.
Now he will be attending the awards ceremony at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel on the evening of Tuesday October 23 when the winner will be announced.
Developing magazine sales
Mr Farnsworth has been shortlisted for the award in recognition to his commitment to developing magazine sales and his excellence and innovation in magazine retailing.
Now into their ninth year, the NFRN Awards are a widely respected industry accolade, which focuses on the news and convenience retailing sector and recognises those who have made a real contribution to its success and future.
