Thanks to all those who have replied in one form or another to the posting a couple of weeks ago, where VentnorBlog readers were invited to be involved in a unique Ergo Phizmiz collaboration.
The one man musical movement that is, Ergo Phizmiz, is half way through the twelve hour running time of “The Faust Cycle”, his new radiophonic work.
It tells the story of an attempt to deliver a mysterious parcel to the legendary alchemist Dr Faustus, and the various strange and often Surreal adventures that take place inside his vast and labyrinthine house.
Told through spoken-word, music, song, and sound-collage, “The Faust Cycle” is a trek through a peculiar and unpredictable world.
There is still time to put forward your input, however short or long to Ergo Phizmiz, who would love to hear from you, our dear readers, with responses to a series of questions that he’ll pose over the coming months on VentnorBlog.
These responses will then be gathered and used within the fabric of the radio piece, which is being podcast from this very blog in 2009, with extracts released on CD through the brilliant US label Soleilmoon.
The first question being posed is …
“What would be your hell and have you been there yet? If so, what was it like and would you like to go back?”
As we said, you can respond in a number of ways, either as comments at the end of this post, or sending an mp3 (to info(at)ergophizmiz(dot)com), or images, or even video (you can use everyone’s best friend, Youtube).
