An Isle of Wight brass band is busy rehearsing for a series of concerts in September and October.
Abbey Brass will perform on 9th September at St Mary’s Church, Brading, at Binstead Methodist Church on 16th September (both at 7.30pm), and at Quarr Abbey, Binstead on 7th October at 3pm.
What to expect
The Brading and Binstead concerts will feature music from the movies, musicals, and from the pop and classical repertoire. And the special performance at Quarr Abbey will comprise a selection of traditional and contemporary sacred music.
Band chairman Andy Croucher said,
“We have been working hard over the last couple of months putting together a new programme of music which I’m sure the audiences will enjoy. And we are delighted to return to Quarr Abbey after our first successful concert there in 2021.”
Admission to all concerts is free, with a retiring collection.
