Final call for independent artists to enter the #RSDUnsigned vinyl contest

Are you a musician looking to break into the music industry? The #RSDUnsigned competition offers a chance for independent artists to reach a larger audience through vinyl and is now in its final days for entry.

Open to UK residents aged 16 and over, this contest is a unique opportunity to gain exposure through physical records and live performance.

Entrants must submit a two-minute video introducing their music and only unsigned artists with original material are eligible to enter.

Exclusive prizes await the winner
The stakes are high this year, with the winning artist or band receiving an exclusive vinyl manufacturing package. Breed Media will press 500 vinyl records for the winner, providing them with a collectible, tangible version of their work. This is a valuable opportunity for any artist looking to create a physical presence for their music in a digital world.

Additionally, the prize package includes a session at Abbey Road Studios, courtesy of Bowers and Wilkins. Known for its history in music, Abbey Road provides top-tier audio expertise, giving the winning artist the chance to refine their sound in an iconic setting.

Live festival slot and artist development programme
The winning artist will also perform live at Truck Festival 2025, one of the UK’s celebrated music events (which in 2024 featured Isle of Wight band, Wet Leg as headliners). This festival slot places the artist on a prominent stage, showcasing their talent to a festival audience and furthering their reach within the music community.

Beyond the festival, the winner will participate in an eight-week talent development programme with Charmfactory, a leading name in artist promotion. This programme will guide the artist through branding and industry navigation, equipping them with essential tools to build and sustain their music career.

Vinyl as a platform for emerging talent
Vinyl offers emerging musicians a distinct advantage, combining the nostalgia of physical media with a collector’s appeal. #RSDUnsigned continues to champion this format, giving new voices a platform that resonates with music fans across generations.

To enter, artists should visit the RSD Unsigned website for more details. The entry form requires a YouTube link to the artist’s song and proof of eligibility, including parental consent for those under 18.

Entries for #RSDUnsigned close on Saturday 9th November 2024, so interested musicians should act quickly to take part in this unique opportunity to launch their music career.
