Oddfellows members on the Isle of Wight gave a warm welcome to guests at their recent Friendship Walk along East Cowes Esplanade on Monday, followed by tea at a local café to celebrate Friendship Month this September.
Maretta Heap, Secretary for Vecta Oddfellows said:
“We all enjoyed a companionable walk along the Esplanade and even managed to convince the sun to come out too!
“Goes to show how much fun you can have with a simple pot of tea in the company of friends.”
Upcoming events
The local Society, based in St. Thomas’s Square, Newport holds regular inexpensive social events and activities.
On Tuesday 29 September there will be a SociabiliTEA Open Day at Unity Hall, 20 St. Thomas Square to find out what the friendship society on the Island is all about and what goes on in Unity Hall – from tea to Tai Chi!
It is a free event and tea, coffee and cake will also be available.
