He is winner of the 2007 BBC ‘Jazz Awards Best Band’ and will be dishing up a special blend of blends of jazz genres spanning Afro-Cuban, contemporary and of course acoustic by this versatile flautist and alto sax player.
His explorative approach to composition and improvisation comes from working across disparate genres spanning soul, funk, hip-hop and house, classical, Latin and of course jazz.
Finn’s alternative musical adventure has resulted in collaborations with such pioneers as Frederick Rzewski, Giovanni Hidalgo, Sa-Ra creative partners, DJ Spinna, to name but a few.
He has released own records with the funk quartet Dr Seuss and is a founder member of the contemporary classical musical group Noszferatu. He has toured with American soul diva Jhelisa Anderson and jazz great, Sam Rivers!
This eclectic performer leaves the audience rapt with his beautifully complex, multi-hued music from a melting pot of musicality – entrancing and provoking the soul.
