Isle of Wight Council have confirmed today that the Cowes Floating Bridge which was supposed to return to service on 23 March has been delayed but is expected to return to service on Monday 6th April.
Weather conditions and additional maintenance requirements are being blamed for the delay.
Launch services continue for foot passengers and drivers are being directed via Newport to travel between Cowes and East Cowes.
