A Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for the Isle of Wight coast.
Flooding is possible for the coast around the Isle of Wight, particularly East Cowes.
The alert reads,
Water levels will be high up slipways through Cowes. Albany Road, East Cowes will flood although no property flooding is expected. A high spring tide is expected this morning around midday.
Surges are now negative but the tide level is still increasing, so the overall tide level is expected to be similar to that experienced on the last few tides.
The winds are veering more westerly but surges are getting lower and it is expected that this Flood Alert will be no longer in force for this evening’s tide.
