As the day has gone on, so the fog becomes thicker. It’s like pea soup down here in Ventnor and sounds equally bad in the Solent.
Hovertravel have announced extended journey times and a shuttle service operation due to the heavy fog conditions. If you’re planning to travel with them today, expect delays.
So far Wightlink and Red Funnel services do not seem to be affected. We’ll let you know if we hear of any changes.
Update 17.00: Red Funnel now say, “the Hi Speed service is currently running a 2 boat shuttle service”.
